Their Session: Natirar Park Engagement Session
Ellen and Tylers Natirar Park engagement session was everything I could have dreamed of and more. We had beautiful fall colors, a warm fall evening, and a hilltop all to ourselves. The evening couldn’t have been more perfect. Being with these two you can’t help but laugh from their endless jokes and silliness. Funny enough Ellen and I actually grew up in the same town which is a very small town might I add. So immediately when I saw her name I knew exactly who it was and was so excited at the potential of working with her and Tyler. After their consultation we realized we were the perfect fit for each other. They knew they wanted to use their photos for their save the dates which meant we had to fit an engagement session in quickly. Which I was happy to do for them! Some how we got a decently warm December evening which meant more time outside for photos. To top it off we ended their session with a glowing sunset to match!
Their Love Story
Ellen and Tyler had a lot of mutual friends, that before they had met, were totally unaware of. They both ended up being at the Rockaway Barn on Fourth of July weekend, which is the first time Ellen had ever met Tyler’s brother, Ryan. When Tyler walked in he immediately caught Ellen’s eye. Nothing came out of that. Fast forward 1 month later, and when Ellen last minute decided to go out to the Randolph Barn with her friend Lem and Sami, and a few others. The Barn got packed and Tyler was there with some of his friends, many of whom were friends with the people Ellen was with. So naturally, they all hung out that night. Later they later exchanged numbers, even after he called her Helen by accident and hung out again that weekend! After a few hangouts and dates they made it we called it official.
Their Proposal
Tyler and Ellen got engaged on October 9. They were having a Housewarming and Oktoberfest party. More of an excuse to have people over Ellen mentions. Which included Tyler’s immediate family, Ellen’s immediate family, and some close friends. They were setting up outside, when Tyler walked away towards their garage. Ellen thought nothing of it at all. Their property neighbors a farm, which has some cows that come up to their fence and they regularly go to pet and look at. Ellen was in the backyard right outside the house and she heard him yell “Ellen come here”. Again, she thought nothing of it because he always calls her over when the cows are out. She ran over in her bed head, pajama shirt and leggings, and sneakers and he got down on one knee and proposed! She was so shocked! He told her the minute she said she wanted to have a housewarming party, he knew it’d be a good time since everyone would be there to celebrate! How adorable is that!!
