Their Session: Mantoloking Beach Engagement Session | Julia and Mike
This Mantoloking Beach Engagement Session was truly a dream come true. As much as I love the beaches along the Jersey shore they can get very busy in the summer time. Luckily most engagement sessions happen in the evening but you never know if it’s going to be a popular beach day. Well this was no worry for Mike and Julia! Julia’s Grandmother happens to have access to a private gated New Jersey beach. It felt like entering a different world because of how empty it was. Julia and Mike were so much fun to work with and were down for it all. They were not worried to be their crazy goofy selves and I was loving every second of it.
Their Story: Julia and Mike
Julia and Mike met through a mutual friend at a dive bar in town, a few days after Julia moved home from Spain. Mike played Rosalita in his car and Julia told Mike that she preferred the name Mark. A month later, Julia still wasn’t sure what his actual name was and he is still ‘Mark’ in her phone. Mike went home and immediately asked his friend for her number. 4 years and two dogs later, they’re getting married. Well at this point, they are married (wedding photos to come)! These two celebrated their wedding day at the awesome Mantoloking Yacht Club.
Julia and Mike got engaged 10/15/2021. Mike planned a scavenger hunt with Jenga blocks at special places to the both of them – their childhood homes, Julia’s best friend’s workplace, and more. The hunt ended in Watchung Reservation and Mike proposed in the Deserted Village. Julia’s sister and best friend were there with their dog Brielle and Mike’s sister Rachel. Julia said YES! And they all had a celebration picnic in the woods before heading back to their house for a surprise party with all of their family and friends.
