Their Wedding Day: The Club at Piccatinny
Abby and Ryans Wedding day at The Club at Piccatinny was an unforgettable one! This was my first time ever working at The Club at Piccatinny and I fell in love with their outdoor space and amazingly helpful staff. The outdoors features hills of greenery making the perfect backdrop for photos. The plus side to it all? They have a golf cart you can take to a local spot on site with a beautiful home for some privacy and variety in your photos! I could have stayed an explored this space all day!
Their Love Story
Ryan and Abby matched online in December of 2015. They shortly started dating afterwards. We fell for each other hard and fast! Ryan proposed to Abby at their favorite restaurant, Prime 94. They share a love for food, and occasionally would see in a movie an engagement ring in a glass of champagne, in a cupcake, etc. Abby always would comment saying he could never do that because she would end up eating the ring! Well, Ryan found a way around that! Ryan had “Will you marry me?” written in chocolate sauce on their dessert while simultaneously getting on one knee. “It was perfect”.
When asked what they love about each other, Ryan said, she can always make me laugh, her smile, her blue eyes, the way she blushes when he compliments her. Abby said, I love how you always make me laugh. I love how when he sets his mind to something he gets it done. I love how he cares for her, I love the way you care for his mom, and his niece. I love how he values family. Be right back while I cry from all this love!!
Their Session: Sandy Hook Beach
We had the most perfect evening for Abby and Ryan’s Sandy Hook engagement session. It’s no secret that I’m a huge beach lover. So I’ll take any excuse to work on the beach! My favorite time of year for a beach engagement session is always off season. There are very few people there and it feels like we have the entire beach to ourselves. One of my favorite things about Sandy Hook Beach is that you have the bay side and beach side in walking distance from each other. I love to start on the beach and end on the bay to get those stunning backlit sunset photos. Which is perfect for couples who want a little variety in their photos and who have an outfit change like Abby and Ryan. Don’t let Abby’s dress fool you. It was about 45 degrees out and I truly don’t know how she did it. But from how stunning the photos came out you would never have known it was freezing!
